ABOUT US

As a young boy growing up I always had a passion for food, not only to participate in eating but in the preparation of it as taught by my mother Phyllis. Although never having any formal training or attending any official culinary institutions, my mother taught me the most important aspect of our culture was the flavour and taste. I developed a cooking style that persons enjoyed as I created cultural dishes and anything that caught my enthusiasm. As time went by I moved my love of cooking for family and friends to cooking for persons who built confidence in my unique twists to simple meals.

 In 2009 I started my dream of owning a cooking business preparing fast food favourites including BBQ meats on weekends. Filled with this passion for cooking but dissatisfaction in having to constantly modify the sauces available on store shelves, I decided to make my own. I started a purchase and pour line of BBQ sauces which embraced Bajan culture. Everyone loved the sauces. Fast forward to 2019 Auntie Phyllis Bajan BBQ Sauce was born.  At Auntie Phyllis Bajan BBQ Sauce, you won’t only find what you need; you’ll get premium quality at a fair price. With years of experience in making the sauce, we have the expertise to thoroughly and efficiently serve our customers to ensure they’re never disappointed.

Born out of a love for cooking flavourful foods two questions were considered;

1) What should a good BBQ sauce taste like? 2) What should the texture be like? 

 

"In my humble opinion a good BBQ sauce should be full of flavour, a refreshing feeling to your taste buds. A brilliant spice mix (one not overpowering the other), tangy yes but not too sour and of course sweetness. Smooth and rich, not thick to be mistaken for ketchup." A hobby became a business as consumers of the product asked where they could purchase a bottle. Ten years on as it was found to be perfect on any meat, four other flavours were added to the original brand allowing persons to take advantage of their culinary skills whether The Professional Chef or the Do It At Home cook.
